I am seriously thinking of self testing the soil in the pastures and hay fields. It is $10 per sample to send to the state, which doesn't include shipping and then 4 to 6 weeks on average before the testing is done. Has anyone used the self test kits? If so, can you give me your thoughts. They test for Nitrogen, Potassium and Phosphate. Seems to be a good bit cheaper and can get working on the fields much faster this way.
